"whuupp" sounded today just before I entered my first blog. Only this morning I read a hard copy of the local newspaper, manually turned on a sprinkler zone and switched on the radio. All these tasks accomplished in 2 minutes and so mundanely done every day. All so last century.
Looking up at my cell phone I see my buddy Mike "called" to tell me he updated his Blog CHRISTOSIS. At the same time, my wife walked in with MP3 headphones on from her morning run. In just minutes, I was reminded how far behind I am in the world.
God gave humans so many talents and abilities for me to look up to and enjoy. I needed to stop looking down and try something new; not for the accumulation of things, but for the celebration of man's quest for accomplishment.
"whuup", both my feet landed on the ground at the same time - I can hook my irrigation system to a weather and soil based system, I can read the paper online and I can listen to whatever I want from where ever I want via this computer. And I can blog.
And I fast-forwarded my life by writing my first blog. Looking Up, I said thank you Father. Next task - a Face Book account?
